How much editing I do?

Some of my friend have question me, how much editing I do normally on my shots? Well basically in my preference, I try make it as natural as possible. Try to do less photoshop. Basically in photoshop I only use Color saturation (don't go beyond +28), Brightness and contrast, color balance (to adjust the color like the photo below, the original has over cyan so need to reduce a bit) and some dodge and burn. Most of my shots I don't do the editing much with photoshop but with Capture NX. It gives me more control and quality much better than the PS CS3.

I wonder if you shoot RAW or JPG? If one shoots RAW then there is more control post processing...

but i agree with you, the less PSing you do the better the photo is!

ya.. with thousands of photos return from every trip, it may not be so feasible for u to spend too much time to touch up each photo.

after seeing so many other local blogs are infected by Louis Pang's style, i am glad to see photos that are more natural n original..

Derrick > I always shoot in RAW. Gives me better quality.

Murphy > Louis Pang have his own style. Other photographer should learn from it but not copying him. Better have your own style of work. That is how you make yourself different from others.

Wendell > Supermodel kama tu.

I was in a conversation about comparison between real photographer and photographer; the latter use PS to alter their image.

There was no final conclusion about who's the best, but everyone believes the more original your picture is, the more appreciation you will get.

I'll go both if I know how to use PS. Sadly, dont have much time and friends that can teach me how to use one..
